Definition of Metrics
1. Minutes Played:
The total number of minutes the player has played over a specified period, such as a season. This reflects the player's involvement and endurance in the game.
2. Goals + Assists (G+A):
A combined metric that sums the total goals and assists by a player. It represents the player's direct contribution to the team's offensive output.
3. Assists per 90 Minutes:
The average number of assists made by a player per 90 minutes of play. This rate standardises the assist count to account for varying playtimes and offers a measure of the player's playmaking efficiency.
4. Goals per 90 Minutes:
The average number of goals scored by a player per 90 minutes. Similar to assists per 90, this rate normalises a player's scoring to a standard full game, allowing for comparison regardless of total playing time.
Player Performance Charts
These charts visualise the contribution of players in terms of goals and assists throughout the season. The goals chart reflects the scoring ability of players, showcasing their effectiveness in front of the goal. The assists chart highlights the playmaking skills, revealing players who create opportunities for others. Together, they provide insights into the offensive impact of players in the club.
